50mm 90° Compression Elbow for Metric Poly Pipe
50mm polypropylene compression elbow. Turns a run of 50mm metric poly pipe through a right angle — at a tank, a pump, a shed wall or a corner of the orchard. No glue, no solvent, no special tools, and it comes apart again if you need to move the line.

What it fits — and what it doesn't
- Fits 50mm metric poly pipe — 50.0mm outside diameter. This is blue line pipe to AS/NZS 4130, and the same 50mm size in HDPE, MDPE and LDPE.
- Does not fit rural poly. Australian 2" rural pipe is about 57mm outside diameter and needs rural fittings. The nut opening on this elbow is 53mm, so 2" rural pipe will not pass through it.
- Does not fit PVC pressure pipe. Australian DN50 PVC is 60.3mm outside diameter.
- Not sure which you have? Measure the outside of your pipe with a tape. It needs to be 50mm.
Not WaterMark certified. Not for use in regulated plumbing or drinking-water supply. Intended for irrigation, stock water, ponds and other non-potable outdoor use.

Fitting it
Cut the pipe square. Loosen the nut, push the pipe in until it seats past the D-ring, then hand-tighten the nut. The grip ring closes onto the pipe as the nut goes on. To take it apart, back the nut off — the grip ring comes free on the pipe and the D-ring lifts out for cleaning. Works on wet pipe and in the trench.

Where these came from
Excess stock from our own farm irrigation project near Bendigo in central Victoria. We bought pipe and fittings in bulk for the orchard and over-ordered on the fittings. Ships from Bendigo.
